Research Network website

The Dementias & Neurodegenerative Diseases Research Network (DeNDRoN) is part of the NIHR Clinical Research Network, funded by the Department of Health in England as part of the National Institute for Health Research. NIHR DeNDRoN supports the development and delivery of clinical research in the NHS in the dementias, Parkinson’s disease, motor neurone disease, Huntington’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases.

How does DeNDRoN support the development of new clinical research?

DeNDRoN provides financial and administrative support to the research community to support the collaborative development and writing of new research grant applications. Click here for further information.

How does DeNDRoN support the delivery of clinical research?

DeNDRoN provides the NHS infrastructure in England to support clinical research through its seven Local Research Networks and collaboration with the NIHR Comprehensive Local Research Networks. Click here for further information.

What research does DeNDRoN support?

DeNDRoN supports the conduct of randomised controlled trials of interventions (including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care) and other well designed studies for commercial and non-commercial sponsors.  DeNDRoN only supports studies that are included on the NIHR Portfolio. Eligibility criteria are available at:
