Search launched for new National Leads for Dementia And Parkinson’s disease
22 April 2010
The DeNDRoN Coordinating Centre has started the process of appointing two new Associate Directors. We are looking for leaders in the fields of dementia research and Parkinson’s disease research to become the National Leads for their respective disease area. Both appointments are for three years in the first instance and are sought because the existing post-holders are stepping down. “Alistair and Andrew have done a tremendous job tackling the challenge of setting up the network. While we are sad to see them leave their current roles at the DeNDRoN Coordinating Centre, we look forward to continuing to work with them both as part of the wider Network”. Professor Martin Rossor, DeNDRoN Director.
“This is both an exciting and demanding time for dementia and Parkinson’s disease research in the NHS, and with our recent refunding for a further 5 years, DeNDRoN has an exciting and important role to play. The National Leads are a key part of the Network leadership team and will hopefully offer a stimulating opportunity to leaders in our field to help shape the future of clinical research in the NHS in neurodegenerative diseases”. Professor Ian McKeith, DeNDRoN Director.
Applications are invited clinicians of any profession with a significant track record in clinical research and/or clinical leadership in dementia/Parkinson’s disease, employed by an NHS Trust or a University.
